About the Network
The Nordic Energy Informatics Academy Network (EIA Nordic) is a collaborative platform designed to unite researchers, industry experts, and policymakers across the Nordic region. By facilitating annual research exchanges, conferences, and summer schools, the network fosters knowledge sharing and interdisciplinary collaboration in energy informatics.

The project focuses on addressing key challenges in energy systems, sustainability, transport, energy markets, and society. Through its networking activities, EIA Nordic strengthens the region’s leadership in sustainable energy development and supports the transition towards a greener, more efficient, and equitable energy future.
Key Areas of Focus
Smart Energy Systems
Facilitating collaboration among experts to optimize energy flow across interconnected systems. By connecting key stakeholders, we enable the exchange of insights and best practices to support the integration of renewable energy sources and the efficient management of smart grids.
Sustainable Energy
Bringing together industry professionals, policymakers, and researchers to advance the sustainable use of resources and reduce environmental impact. The network promotes discussions on optimizing energy use and minimizing waste, in alignment with the Nordic region’s carbon-neutral goals.
Green Transport
Connecting thought leaders in the transport and energy sectors to discuss and implement sustainable mobility solutions. Through collaborative efforts, we work towards optimizing electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure and enabling the green transition of transportation systems across the Nordic region.
Energy Markets
Supporting cross-border collaborations to design and develop the next generation of energy markets. The network encourages dialogue on dynamic pricing, market integration, and regulatory harmonization, facilitating efficient resource use and renewable energy trade across Nordic borders.
Energy & Society

Supporting Agency: Nordic Energy Research
Nordic Energy Research is the official platform for cooperative energy research and policy development under the auspices of the Nordic Council of Ministers.
